About Us

Rujeko is a community based non-profit making Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO-12/09) established in 1995.

“Owing to the growing number of HIV/AIDS patients who were discharged from Murambinda Mission Hospital and Birchenough Bridge Hospital to be looked after at home.The late Dr Monica Glenshaw, who was the DMO for Buhera District, supported and facilitated the formation of Rujeko at Birchenough Bridge Growth Point. We are currently operating in 8 wards of Buhera Soouth District and 1 ward of Chipinge District in Manicaland Province of Zimbabwe.

Rujeko envisions a just community in which the unmet needs and rights of vulnerable groups including People Living with HV are addressed.

Our Goal

The ultimate eradicaction of extreme poverty and hunger, total access to primary education, gender equality, women's empowerment, increased access to HIV and AIDS and primary health care services and improved environmental sustainability in at risk communities.

To be a leading PVO in the provision of prevention,care and suppport services for at risk communities of Zimbabwe.
